Boris Ginzburg, Head of the Fixed Income and Debt Capital Markets department of URALSIB Capital, participated in the round table on “The Future of Investment Banking in View of the Financial Crisis”

The round table took place under the sixth annual Russian bond congress, which was organized by Cbonds in Saint Petersburg on 4-5 December.

The round table was organized to discuss the current situation in the investment banking sector, the possibility of bond issue procedures being changed, the role of investment banks in financing corporations, the development of state controlled investment banks and investment banking boutiques, and future scenarios for investment banking.

The round table was attended by top managers from leading Russian banks.

Over 350 delegates from Russia, the CIS and Europe attended the Russian bond congress this year. The delegates were not only representatives of issuers and bond issue organizers, financial and legal advisors, but also representatives from infrastructure institutions, international and Russian rating agencies, and international custodial banks.
